  • Fences

Hello everyone! I had come across this before, and I wanted to implement it, so I started searching around for a product, and eventually came upon Stardock Fences. It's really cool, and definitely a big help for productivity, so try it out!

They have it for Windows XP and Vista. No more cluttered, unorganized icons!

  • what are your thoughts on xp vs. vista? can u share your views on this?

  • @KickDaniel -

I personally like Windows XP. I've been using it for over 6 years now, and haven't upgraded to Vista. When I have used it, it's too cluttered, slow, the UI isn't that much of an improvement, and I don't like how it's not compatible with a lot of old programs.

That said, I wouldn't upgrade to Vista intentionally, unless it comes with your computer by default. Windows 7 might be worth it, though. But again, I would never pay for an OS unless it came with a new computer. If it had to come down to it, I would use Ubuntu Linux (which is really great).

My laptop came with XP Home and I got rid of that to use Ubuntu Linux.
