I used to be more of a prolific blogger, but haven't been so, lately.

Also, with there being SO MANY good Christian blogs out there, I simply don't have time to read them all--I'm subscribed to almost 20 of them--Challies, John Piper (Desiring God), various pastors, etc. But then, I get behind on my Christian blog reading, so I read more sporadically.

Now, when I do read blogs, I read in this order:
    - Weather -- so crucial, especially when I'm biking to places
    - Friends -- catch up on happenings in friends' lives (everyone non-Eastbay)
    - Eastbay - the short, but profound, interesting, or aesthetically attractive ones first (for example, dantsai, Mike Chu, Luke); always leaving the longer posts "mark as new" to read at a later time (for example, Nelson, David, Kevin, Tim--all who typically write super long posts). Richard's is in between short and long, but always encouraging.
    - News - CNN, BBC, Wired (Technology), Cal Football (more active during football season, and also the most comprehensive and interesting one to read out there), Daily Clog (Daily Cal Blog--tries to take a humorous/satirical/cynical view of everything, but also good at informing the community about happenings at Cal, often) -- for all of these, headlines only, and articles in depth if they are interesting

oh, how did I get side-tracked? Without further ado, I just wanted to say that I really enjoy reading Daniel Chung's xanga (Jealous Lover), and am often super-encouraged by this brother. Sure, it's great to read the "classics" or writings of the "heavy hitters" (Phil Johnson, Piper, Al Mohler, etc), but when I can only chew on so much, and even if I could read more blogs, the ones whom I personally know and love have THAT much more impact on me--the ones who write and share about their learnings from Scripture, what God's been doing in their lives, etc AND I see and experience it first-hand in their lives.

Thank you, Daniel, and everyone else among the brethren who use their blogs not only to personally reflect upon our great God, but also to encourage and remind others of the beauty of His majesty, the awesomeness of His glory, and the sweetness of His fellowship. It's always a tremendous blessing to come across one of these, especially when it's a "down" day--these are always "pick-me-ups."

    Grace and peace.
